Minimalism works! I’ve been drilling my students about minimalist photography so thought I’d better practice what I preach.

• Zoom in! Limit your photo to one/ two subjects in your viewfinder
• Limit colour; look for two or three colours max.
• Look for leading lines (diagonal/ vertical/ horizontal
• Photograph textures close up

This allows you to create some interesting grids; a great programme is www.pixlr.com express collage option. It’s super easy to use. Repeat your photos and then adjust > rotate them.
